Laberdolive 72 Year Old 1942 Armagnac

A complex, delicate and elegant Armagnac. It is said that the major ingredients are Folle Blanche grapes - the very high portion is not a common sight. The initial nose is peppery, adding notes of rye bread, lard and flowers. The palate is unbelievably rich and the sweetness hits the right point, floral, nutty and dried-fruit like. The warm finish is honeyed, with hints of dried fruits. A true Armagnac masterpiece from the World War II era.
