Karuizawa 35 Year Old 1977 Geisha Cask 4010

Karuizawa distillery was established in 1955, using the golden promise barley same as the Macallan, and maturing whisky with sherry casks. Sadly affected by Japan's Bubble Economy, and Japanese whisky was not popular back in time, the distillery was closed in 2001. The remaining casks of Karuizawa were all bought up, mostly by Number One Drinks Company, Eric Huang, La Maison du Whisky and The Whisky Exchange. This bottle was released by Number One Drinks, from their signature Geisha series, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2013, aged more than 31 years.
