Chorlton Whisky - Miltonduff 11 Year Old for The Rare Malt

As you may know, we have been working with David (owner of Chorlton Whisky) for a long while, and we genuinely love the whisky he picked and his passion for whisky. That’s why we are glad to have this joint bottle with David.After this idea was brought up, we have been working for months to select the best cask for this project. When we both tasted the sample of this 11-year-old beauty, we did not hesitate and immediately picked it - we knew this is what we have been looking for.

The 11YO Miltonduff on nose is a decent example of bourbon cask whisky - marmalade, custard cream biscuits, as well as some earthy notes: hay, dried flowers, hints of sweet ginger and cocoa powder.

The rich palate is surprising. Lots of mocha coffee, fudge, gingerbread, and there are lovely notes of red berries, stewed pears and oranges. The finish is like chocolate milk, yet spiced with nutmeg.
