Hibiki 30 Year Old

Hibiki 30 YO is blended by a huge amount of old sherry cask whisky from Yamazaki and Hakushu, each bottle is numbered and sealed by gold foil. The character 「響」 on the label was created by Tansetsu Ogino. Every 30 YO comes with a purple paper box - a traditional high-end colour in Japanese culture.

The nose is complex and rich, with loads of nutmeg, quinces and apricot, along with raisins, figs, sweet ripe dates and a hint of dark cocoa. The initial palate is sweet and smooth, it later balances well with the oakiness and some spices. A long lingering spicy finish with soft oakiness.
